Salvation?
The Dems are going wild after unleashing two terms of Bush. But will Barack be falsely elevated and Congress with Nancy ‘bend over’ Pelosi too anxious and eager for a Savior see the new born King walking under water rather then over? Caution dictates keeping a close eye on this man in swaddlings , for while the first two years of the honeymoon may bring about much needed change, that’s a lot of cargo for a young man in his 40’s. Can his ego contain the energy of being elected one of the most powerful people in the world?
Yes I’m happy that Barack got in, of course. But the oval office can either round a person out or have it sucked right up their rear orifice. We’re no where near feeling the crunch of the economy and 8 years of mismanagement can’t be undone in one fell swoop. Let not false idols be amongst us. Obama has his work cut out for him and how will a middle class boy deal with Roosevelt era troubles? The Barack Buggy (akin to the Bennett Buggy of the depression) is not a far fetched idea.
Look to the wind, always look to the wind to see what it’s bringing…overzealous Dems may support their savior down to the core and THAT creates a whole new problem (recall the NDP’s Glen Clarke and the party’s willingness to give him carte blanche into doomsville and that is only a minor example).
Will Barack be able to thwart off a Savior Complex? Let’s hope so and that means the Dems and anyone affected by the U.S. looking critically at the new born king. Let’s hope the election of Obama is not redemption because the price to pay may be heavier then ever anticipated.
