Doesn’t HE look grand? From the first throws of holding office , Steve’s done nothing but a series of playing dress-up and enacting the game….only, in real life. So he’s made Canada a police state. My what fun, for him! Bullies don’t really have any concern about the people they’re hurting, the toxic environment they’re creating, only about their game time and if Mommy might have a nice piece of apple pie waiting for them at the end of their long play.

“Producing six to 200 pot plants nets an automatic six-month sentence, with an extra three months if it’s done in a rental or is deemed a public-safety hazard. Growing 201 to 500 plants brings a one-year sentence, or 1½ years if it’s in a rental or poses a safety risk.
The omnibus legislation imposes one-year mandatory minimums for sexually assaulting a child, luring a child via the Internet or involving a child in bestiality. All three of these offences carry lighter automatic sentences than those for people running medium-sized grow-ops in rental property or on someone else’s land.
A pedophile who gets a child to watch pornography with him, or a pervert exposing himself to kids at a playground, would receive a minimum 90-day sentence, half the term of a man convicted of growing six pot plants in his own home.
The maximum sentence for growing marijuana would double from seven to 14 years, the same maximum applied to someone using a weapon during a child rape, and four years more than for someone sexually assaulting a kid without using a weapon.”

Tales From The Shelter – 54
We sit around and talk about things we need but Gordie Campbell took away from us. “Shirley” is elderly and needs orthotics as her arches are collapsing and her feet become very painful. That need was ripped from the books of the Ghost of Gordy Campbell Present and it will cost her $800 (with the special shoes and orthotics). She has to put it on her Visa and lord knows how long it will take to pay off because of the interest accumulated.
Cry Baby has lost her house, car, just about all belongings because she went back to school to get her degree, but didn’t realize a B.A. holds nothing today. She was expecting a high pay job so now has to find funding to get her Masters. Gook Luck!!!!
No one sees anything in sight from Christy Clarke. She’s simply “Gordy in Drag”.
As for the federal election, how could people be so uninformed? Jocko is working on creating her own business but thinks Stephen Harper is the best guy to vote for because he’s all for business. Excuse me? That would be for corporations, not small biz (which translates to 50 employees and under). As though Harper or the BC Liberals are interested in helping us poor folk! I’ve been banging my head trying to figure out why these kind of leaders are so interested in keeping the poor, poor. The only reason I can come up with is cheap labour and they know we don’t vote for them. But surely, there must be other reasons, musn’t there?
I’m waiting anxiously for April 17th when the BC NDP choose their new leader…hopefully John Horgan will sweep it away. And will BC vote for a kinder, more compassionate government? Let’s hope the Ghost of Gordy Campbell Future is put to rest. There’s going to be an awful lot of outfall to clean up.

Rememberance Day and Escape from Alcatraz
Today I got to ‘escape from alcatraz’ and be out of the homeless shelter for most of the day and evening…it felt grand!
I went with my daughter, a couple of sisters, to a park in east vancouver to watch the rememberance day ceremony and was very proud of my brother-in-law, Shane Simpson, who is the MLA for Vancouver East Hastings. Shane laid a wreath and it seemed particularily poignant with so many of the world war two vets gone now and a population of british columbia citizens living in what amounts to marshall law (or war measures act if you want to get all canuk about it). we fight now to preserve and protect the safety, rights, and common ground that makes (or is that made?) canada a role model nation. there’s too much that has gone six feet under.
I may not have much for a north american, and i am grateful for food, clothing and shelter (in an institutionalized setting), but take away some of our basic rights and gordon campbell , you are asking for civil unrest. if you support this man, your self interest goes beyond mere protection and supports the very core of greed.
i’m tired, but a good tired. we went back to shane’s house and he is an awesome cook. a shrimp and spinach salad, oh gosh, i can’t remember the rest of the names of what he whipped up save for the fresh mussels cooked in garlic, butter and wine. we all felt like fat piggies afterwards!!!!
shane is the real deal. he grew up in east van. he knows poverty. he is working and fighting for us, all of us, even those who support campbell because in the end shane’s efforts benefit all. i urge you to support him (hey, maybe he’ll cook you up a meal 😀 ).

Body Bag Blues
First the federal government decides not to ship hand sanitizer to First Nation reserves to help protect members from H1N1 (you know, the ‘i got fucked by a pig flu’.
Next the feds ship BODY BAGS and throw in language like ‘if, maybe, not necessarily’ while they grapple to save face over a big bad move or mistake (or not, maybe, if, not necessarily) .
Why did this take place in Manitoba? Could it be revenge for the chiefs who gave the o.k. to blockade the railroad a few years ago in protest of Canada (read Stephen Harper) failing to honour the Kelowna Accord.
No wonder the federal government’s apology for the body bags was not accepted. Ottawa is numb. Ottawa, get stuffed!
Comments on the story that can be found on CBC.ca can range from empathetic to downright numb and racist. The federal government finally admitted it made a mistake….but it’s the ongoing mistakes that made the body bag incident so offensive. To say it was done as a precaution and is a necessity because of expected deaths due to the swine flu is unacceptable. WHY DIDN’T THE GOVERNMENT SEND FLU PREVENTION KITS FIRST????
Hand sanitizers aside, the Manitoba rez’s that recieved the body bags had not been sent the proper goods for this PURPORTED PANDEMIC. Why? And why is it other reserves were not sent body bags? Smacks of Stephen Harper and the continuing genocide on First Nations people….after all, northern Manitoba and Inuit reserves have both oil and diamonds….and we all know how hungry Harper is to sell Canada’s resources (stated outright at many G-8 meetings)….with the pesky injuns in the way, how can he accomplish his goal and , hopefully to him, get Canada out of the world ecomonic crunch.
Well, you can’t , Steve. We haven’t even begun to see or feel the real hit that’s coming so why don’t you just relax, go play your piano, and deal with things? Oh those pesky governments are at it again, and this time fucking (more) with the homeless.
British Columbia and the Feds are joining together to offer homeless people housing if they’ll partake in research studies. Criteria – you must be mentally ill. Besides this foreshadowing the rise of eugenics again, it’s a completley bogus move to:
1. Keep the homeless disempowerd
2. Continue delays on housing to penny pinch for the Olympics (suites in B.C. Housing have already been closed down for months with no start on the promised rennos that would take 4-6 months. Think, duh ya, da Glibs will rent out the suites for quadruple their value to Olympic visitors? Think maybe they’ll take those funds and allocate a portion of them to the homeless?
3. Yes! Let’s create more studies, thereby replicating the ones already out there – province and feds, go to the cloakroom, you can’t even cheat properly!
4. Would they even THINK to have the homeless create intentional communities where WE make the rules above and beyond existing common law? Oh no , couldn’t go the route of Portland’s Dignity Village and give power to the people. And what are some of their rules – no drugs or alchol within a block of the premises……yes, they came up with that on their own. AND a minimum of volunteer hours put in to the community. Think the prov and fed gangs would even THINK of letting people have empowerment?
It’s a disgrace and a sham. File this one under, ‘fucked up beyond belief”.
Santa Legal Clause – The Arctic Once Again

It’s all right here, speaking of legal clauses, in the Mohawk Manifesto – the BIG GUN Steve wants to avoid.
Yes he admits it’s all about resources , and my, look at that diamond he’s just itching to sell to Her Majesty , or the barrels of oil he thinks is up there, and the bludgeoned harp seal , give him a break now because Europe may not be buying but there’s always a black market.

On The Road Again – The All New Three Amigos Meet over NAFTA
The faces may have changed but the all new Three Amigos are meeting in Mexico over NAFTA issues….or is that “Canada and Mexico Still Getting Stiffed”? Our boy, Harpo, will be bringing in Canada’s new visa requirements for Mexican tourists so we don’t – GASP – end up with Mexicans claiming refugee status.
The crux of the meeting is all about The U.S. still driving the wheel when it comes to Mexican trucks hauling goods across the border. Funny how that was a drop-out in some of Canada’s major media outlets. But no matter what, the U.S. wants protectionism when it comes to the trucking trade and Obama is holding out for his drivin’ and swampin’ buddies.
So if NAFTA is supposed to be all about free trade and a type of amalgamation that would see the end of subsidies and protectionism for the 3 countries that make up North America, how come the United States is still shiny side up and greasy side down? Obama says it’s because of the economy but really, is he going to be any different from his predeccesors when it comes to playing big kid on the block? I doubt it, which makes NAFTA even more of a farce then it has been.
Good luck, amigos, as you sort out ‘movement’ , drugs, and who’s still the boss. While he keeps on trying, Harper still won’t have a one on one with Barak…not until September, seems no matter how hard he tries to be big man on campus the other kids won’t let him and my oh my how he must hate that because he’s been trying ever so hard since he was elected to be at the forefront of world leaders. U.S. Drone Plane Over Canada for Marijuanna , My Ass!
The headline reads: U.S. Launches Another Drone Plane To Patrol Canadian Border.
The story says the plane can spot a person from 10km away and the launch is being done over Iriquois Territory to try end an estimated $50,000 worth of marijuanna making it’s way through the rez.
I say: bullshit.
The plane is there to monitor activities like land reclamation and LEGAL border crossings of First Nations from one rez to another which involves passing over the imagined border. Only the Feds don’t want it to be legal anymore and are engaging in illegal activity by stopping Iriqouis from going over the imagined line. Good work, boys – NOT!
With all the organized crime in Canada and the drugs like cocaine, heroine, crack and ice being brought in and our youths dying in rampant numbers why the hell would marijuanna matter? legalize the shit. collect taxes from it to get on with more important things….like investigating lying asshole politicians. and the r.c.m.p.. AND the very notion that Canada acts illegally by not honouring First Nations as seperate nations to be dealt with on a nation to nation basis.
