Prayers Needed

January 30, 2007 at 7:09 pm 12 comments

I can’t tell you where I am right now, but prayers are needed. Surveyors have been coming on the land that belongs to a Hawaiian man, and he is the kanahiki (steward) as well as owner. The surveyors do not have persmission. The are working for the State , who wants to divert water that floods the road…BUT diversion will affect the land and the sea and sacred ponds of the land, this is stuff PHd’s do not take into consideration, nor the ancient village ruins, the burial sites etc..

This all has to do with developement , not just water diversion, and the continueed efforts of developers to take this man’s land …this is all part of the continuued genocide of the Hawaiian people, and too many Hawaiians have been bought off or are greedy for what ‘progress’ would mean to their pocket books.

Today four cops were involved as the surveyors came back after I booted them off the other day. The surveyors and cops act innocent as to what is really going on, but one by one they give enough clues that you know damn well they know the score and the man who’s land it is has held up developement before and is doing it again.

Micheal Cousteau, the illigitamate son of Jaques is involved…for development, and it is all under the guise of ‘preserve and protect’ under Clinton’s National Park Program. B.S. on the national park and the Audobon Society who is at stake too as a realtor here’s daughter works for them and the realtor tried to make a grab for the property.

This is not something to fool around with. There have been attempts on the man’s life before, others have been killed. Ross Perault money is involved. And now, I am too.

Please pray for this land, the caretaker and owner , all who stay here , me, the rising nation of Hawaii and it’s people.

If Scout starts emailing you from jail, come and bust me out or send a file in a cake (joking, if they touch me they’ll have an international incident on their hands). But please be advised in case I need to call for support from politicians and any heavy weights you may know.

Thanks so much, mahalo, and please don’t tell Mr. Scout, he’ll have a fit!!!!!!!!!!

    Dear Scout,
It sounds that more than prayers are needed but Action! What rights do the people have who are surveying the land. What title does your Hawaian friend have and what rights does that title give him.
Your posting goes from looking at flooding the road issues to land rights!!
Hoping that all settles down quickly and does not develop into a gung ho land development shooting match that you infer!!
Take Care, your friend in Oz, Austin.

I’m sending out all the positive vibes I can muster. I’m planning to attend sweatlodge on Sunday. I will ask our lodge keeper to pray for a swift and righteous conclusion to this issue

What about getting a well respected, high profile environmentalist involved?

    yo scout
I was just watching Hawaii on the news — big storm there? Watch out.

I will keep you and your friend in my thoughts… don’t be posting from gitmo… be careful.

  • 4. scout  |  January 31, 2007 at 9:53 pm

hey austin!!! thanks…’s land rights, with him having the title, but it goes deeper. he’s also the only registered konahiki (caretaker from the mountain to the sea) in the state, plus he’s from the alii line (royal). it goes into land, indigenous peoples, the continuuing genocide, the illegal occupation of hawaii by settlers etc.. the land surveyors have no rights….nexxt step is court.

gab…many thanks, prayers from a sweat would be great. court will come first then things will proceed from there. IF court fails then it’s call in everyone.

jj, funny you should mention gitmo because we were making jokes about it with all this πŸ™‚
there’s been a few big storms here and i think another coming up friday. thanks for your good thoughts πŸ™‚

I’m sending you as much positive energy as I can muster! The situation sounds terrible, but it’s happening everywhere, even right under our noses at home. Progress always equals ruination when development is involved. People don’t seem to understand that the very thing that’s drawing them to a place will be destroyed by their presence in it. We have no foresight as a species and it’s going to bite us in the ass big time.

Sis Scout, my thoughts, prayers, positive vibes are with you and your friends.

Exactly now that this is happening to you and your friends over there, I’m reading a well-written, sobering book by a Canadian writer, Ronald Wright, (who lives in BC) titled “Stolen Continents: Conquest and Resistance in the Americas [as seen through Native eyes]”… It is the most gut-wrenching account of man’s inhumanity to man… what the white race did, and is STILL DOING to Indigenous peoples in their lust for land/power/natural resources/wealth/etc…etc…. It is the SAME THING that is going on with the Hawaiians. The US is playing the old ‘divide and conquer’ game… Dividing Hawaiians, buying off those they can, etc… same old dirty tricks and double-dealing they’ve done for centuries.

Admittedly, I’m surprised that the Audobon Society is in on this dirty scheme too…

Please, please be careful, but call me at home (hopefully you took my number with you, if not, I’ll send you an email, ok?) if anything bad happens, which I’m hoping & praying won’t… but if it does, call me RIGHT AWAY. You can call collect, ok?? You know that I’m involved with human rights groups & Amnesty, and can also get hold of lawyer if needed. HOPE NOT, for your sake, sis.

anyway, try to keep me/us posted & let me know if my help is needed.

i’ll go now & send you a short email with my phone #. I’ll also send lots of prayers/thoughts your way.

    in spirit as always,

You have got my prayers, but as it is said, prayers and action makes good couple. In this circumstances they surely need each other.Harambee.

  • 8. Simon  |  February 4, 2007 at 6:42 pm

Hey Scout! Wow it sounds like things are really happening there. I’m kinda worried about you. On the other hand I’m glad you’re there. Thta’s like sending an entire Canadian regiment over there. As the villains in this story will sound find out πŸ™‚ Good luck. Give em hell! But be careful…

  • 9. harpervalley  |  February 4, 2007 at 11:23 pm

coyote, mahalo (thanks). ya, it’s the same the whole world over ….and a big 10-4 on asses getting bitten. the japanese own tons here too…..u.s. citizens will get it by economic collapse when that happens, and i think tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoes will take care of the rest πŸ™‚

annamarie….same as at home, eh? (had to throw in a little canadianna there). give them the bullshit, the money, the crap and corruption doesn’t take long. thanks for your phone number, i’ll use it as need be….you’re such a true sis!!!

simon….canadian indigenous corps here….private scout got promoted to corporal last week in the mongoose wars because of my actions with the surveyors. i think they know well enough to leave a canadian alone or they’ll have an international situation. i give them ‘aloha hell’… firm but nice πŸ™‚

somehow the careful seems to take care of itself…..going with brains and intuition and faith, i got called to another part of the island to do something else, then called elsewhere by another friend to do another thing. sounds like the air has cleared where i was and i’ll go back whenever i get called.

thanks for the concern people, and the good thoughts.

Greetings, Scout! I miss you! Just checking in on ya – I can see that while the cat’s been away the mouse has been at play. Keeping you here in my kind of prayers. Stay safe.

This comment is woefully late, but I’m thinking of you and the Hawaiian land & it’s rightful Caretaker….the biggest fights are often the smallest ones.

Love to you and the Land πŸ˜‰
